The Enterprise Continuum provides methods for classifying architecture and solution artifacts, both internal and external, to the Architecture Repository. In the below architecture image, the Enterprise Continuum is the outermost continuum and classifies assets related to the context of the overall enterprise architecture. The information from the Architecture context and requirements goes to the Architecture Continuum that offers a consistent way to define and understand the generic rules and representations. The last major part of this architecture diagram is the Solution Continuum, which provides a consistent way to describe and understand the implementation of the assets defined in the Architecture Continuum. It should be noted here that the Solutions Continuum defines what is available in the organizational environment as re-usable Solution Building Blocks (SBBSs).
