In building engineering, a warehouse floor plan is a drawing to scale, showing a view from above the relationships between rooms, spaces, traffic patterns, and physical features. As shown in the diagram, a warehouse floor plan is created using EdrawMax and shows warehousing functions, which means the wide range of activities associated with the physical distribution of goods from the end of the production line to the final consumers. These activities include purchasing goods, inventory management, storage, materials handling, protective packing, and transportation. As shown in the warehouse floor plan picture, dimensions are usually drawn between the walls to specify the room sizes and wall lengths. Floor plans may also include notes for construction to specify finishes, construction methods, or symbols for electrical items.
