Timelines can use any scale to depict time that is appropriate for the subject and data; typically utilize a linear scale, in which one unit of distance equals one unit of time. The events in the chronology determine the timescale.

Creating a timeline chart in EdrawMax Online is pretty simple. The free timeline maker has several features, like directly importing the data from the .csv file or creating one from scratch using free templates.
