This is diagram of Porter's Value Chain. The company's value chain is Starbucks coffee. This diagram is often used to guide a company to generate value; it takes a number of inputs and outputs to achieve that. The outputs tend to be more valuable for the company than the inputs. The diagram is divided into two sections. Primary Activities are in the lower part, divided into Inputs, operations, distribution, marketing and services and their definitions. In the upper section, there are the support Activities, and those are divided into Financial, IS, legal, human resources, research and development and procurement, as well as its definitions.
