One section deals with Support Activities and the second section is on Main Activities. Support Activities section is further subdivided into many categories such as Basic Framework, Human Resource Management, Technology Development and, Finance. The second section is on the Main Activities which includes Supply Chain or Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Market/Sales and, Customer Service. The information in both sections leads to Profit. In such value chain models, one can add a plethora of information and use color-coding tools to depict the information in a concise and clear manner. Value chain models are an effective way of analyzing information.
