A power-interest grid is a matrix that helps in categorization of stakeholders based on two characteristics i.e. power and interest in the project. It is used for decision making and analyzing stakeholder communities. It has two axes and stakeholders are plotted on the plane according to interest and power values. Hence there are four categories of stakeholders.
High power/high interest
High power/low interest
Low power/high interest
Low power/low interest
