In this particular diagram we see a generic supply chain. The diagram is a flow chart presented in a circular shape using pictures and arrows. It shows how raw materials reach the supplier who in turn supplies raw material to the manufacturer. The manufacturer supplies the finished product to the distributor who then hands over the products to the retailers and finally the finished goods reach the consumer. The consumers’ demand again forces raw materials to be supplied and the entire process begins again. The logistics involved along the way are shown as well. The supply- demand chain is a vicious circle that never ends, hence the idea of presenting this process in a circular flow chart is apt.
