Following the election of Senators, the Clerk of the Senate shall assign desks to individual Senators, beginning with Senators elected as members of the majority party in the Senate in the chamber area and continuing until all such desks have been assigned, then Senators elected as members of the minority party in the Senate, and finally any Senator not elected as a member of the two major political parties.
