The compass aids us in determining a property's orientation. It represents the perspective of someone on the inside looking out on navigation. A circle with an arrow pointing north is used to represent it. The cardinal directions, on the other hand, are not represented by floor plan compass symbols.
The scale depicts the measurement of dimension using smaller measurements that can fit on paper or on a screen. A scale converts a measurement taken on the floor to a measurement taken on the floor plan. Scales can be depicted by "scale bars," which are black and white lines with numbers that resemble a ruler's scale.
