We have shown S-trap and P-trap in the following diagram. It should be noted here that a P-trap is a plumbing fixture with several purposes. Unlike S-trap, P-trap traps debris that has drained from the sink, prevents it from forming a clog deep within the plumbing system, and stops sewer gasses from passing into the home. It should be noted here that traps are generally considered by most to be more effective and consistent in maintaining water traps compared to S-traps.
