A process flowchart is a diagram that displays the sequential phases of a process as well as the choices that must be taken for the process to work properly. In the chart/visual representation, each step is represented by a shape. Lines and arrows link these forms to illustrate the progress and direction of the process. Process flowcharts have become so common that anybody who knows flowcharts can glance at one and understand what is going on. They adhere to a logical flow of information in order to give business stakeholders with a roadmap for successfully completing procedures.
