A road map, also known as a route map or street map, is a map that focuses on roads and transportation routes rather than natural geographic information. It's a form of navigational map that frequently incorporates political boundaries and labels, making it a political map as well. Road maps frequently feature items of interest, such as important companies or buildings, tourism attractions, parks and recreational facilities, hotels and restaurants, as well as airports and railway stations, in addition to highways and borders. Non-automotive transit routes may be documented on a road map, although they are frequently exclusively seen on transit maps.
