This is a genogram. The genogram provides a graphic depiction of the family structure and history to the play therapist. The genogram is a popular way for determining who is in the family and what roles essential family members perform in relation to one another. The biological family is included in the traditional genogram; however, genograms may also include individuals based on the function they fulfill within the family.
