Location maps are specialized maps that illustrate how to get from one place to another in the most straightforward way possible. Location maps also include information directly related to a certain travel, such as identifiable landmarks, areas of interest, gas stations, motels, and any other useful hints along the way. In some ways, a location map is a simplified form of a regular map because it does not need to depict every road in the region, simply those that go to the target destination.
