In the event of fire or other emergency, ALL employees and clients shall evacuate immediately through the nearest exit. In an evacuation situation the safety of humans must take precedent over the safety of our patients. Patients in exam rooms will be evacuated with their owners. Patients undergoing surgery will be evacuated at the discretion of the attending veterinarian by the surgical technicians with an emergency treatment kit. Felines will be placed in pillow cases secured at the top with knots, and canines will be secured with two leashes. All animals will be placed in employee vehicles until arrangements can be made for alternative containment.
