This is a family genogram example. A genogram is a depiction of a family tree that provides lot of information about individual relationships. It enables the user to examine inherited patterns as well as psychological factors that influence partnerships. The genogram unflods the relationships and characteristics that might otherwise be missed on a pedigree chart. Males are represented by a square in the example genogram above, while females are represented by a circle. On top of the gender sign, the date of birth and/or death are indicated.
