This Scrum process diagram is a framework for teams to complete projects, most commonly software development projects. Previously, the waterfall approach was the dominant paradigm for development projects, so named because the steps appear to flow in only one direction: downhill. The Scrum process diagram can be described as follows: The Product Owner creates the product backlog and prioritizes it. The team then examines the backlog and selects work from it. It's a pull system, similar to Toyota's Lean Manufacturing system. When managers get involved at this stage (pushing), it slows things down. The team decides how much to bring into the scrum and how much they can deliver in a cycle (the sprint backlog).
