The United States Army Corps of Engineers recently updated all Hurricane Inundation Maps for Massachusetts communities along the coast or with a river or other waterway connecting to the ocean. Hurricane Inundation Maps show the areas of land that floodwaters could inundate during a hurricane. The National Weather Service's (NWS) Sea, Lake, and Overland Surge from Hurricanes (SLOSH) model estimate potential storm surge and inundation flooding during Category 1, Category 2, Category 3, or Category 4 hurricane.
