A circular org chart is an option to the traditional hierarchical org chart. Still, like all org charts, it visualizes a company's organizational structure to show information such as who reports to whom and which department each employee belongs to. Instead of imagining the organization in a pyramid-like structure from the top down, the organization is drawn from the center out. The circle in the center represents the company's highest-ranking officer. The outermost circles represent individual contributors and entry-level employees. Circular org charts and other types are nearly identical in terms of functionality.
