A cubicle office layout is similar to an open office plan in which partition walls form workspaces on three sides to form a box or "cubicle." Compared to built-in offices, this style of Cubicle office layout saves space and money. It is commonly used with built-in meeting rooms and private offices for senior management. On the work surface of cubicles in the 2010s and 2020s, there is usually a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse. A desk phone is generally found in a cubicle. Cubicles may or may not have lamps or additional lighting because many offices use overhead fluorescent lights to illuminate the office.
