To provide direction in developing a hospital fire escape plan containing detailed information, instructions, and procedures that can be used in any emergency requiring either a full or partial evacuation of the hospital. This Hospital fire escape plan must include essential staff roles and responsibilities. Employees will receive training on the evacuation plan, which will consist of techniques for lifting and carrying patients and knowledge of alternate evacuation routes. Staff will be expected to accompany patients and work at receiving facilities if they have received proper emergency credentials.
