This Wireless Wide Area Network is a network that sends wireless signals outside of a single building or property. Local area networks frequently use Ethernet, twisted-pair cabling, or short-range wireless routers to send signals over short distances. In contrast, wireless WANs may use various cellular network systems to send alerts over longer distances. Large telecom providers such as T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T typically support wireless WANs in some capacity, and these larger networks frequently necessitate some form of encryption or security.
