The Alumni Relationship Matrix is a metric that helps us understand the outcome of the BEHA framework and the relationship an institution has with its alums. On the vertical axis is the level of engagement, which represents the efforts made by the institution to engage its alum community, namely actively) the engagement programs in place, and b) initiatives to assist alums. The horizontal axis represents the institution's level of connection with its alums — how strong is the relationship? The following factors influence the outcome: a) How well is the alum network built? b) How responsive are alums to the institution's initiatives (Ask)?
