It also enables businesses to assess the risks associated with the system implemented. Executives and managers use this matrix to make new and existing products available to new and established markets. This model, also known as the Corporate Ansoff Matrix and the Product/Market Expansion Grid, arranges new versus existing offerings on one axis and new versus existing markets on the other.
