This Grid Table Matrix Diagram is a new management planning tool for analyzing and displaying data set relationships. The matrix diagram depicts the relationship between two, three, or four data groups. It can also provide information about the relationship, such as the strength of the relationship, the roles played by various individuals, or measurements. Table 1 summarises when each type of matrix should be used. To see an example of each type, click on the links below. The matrix axes in the models have been shaded to emphasize the letter that gives each matrix its name. The team used numbers in the boxes to represent numerical specifications and check marks representing packaging options.
