This Enterprise IT Roadmap is a type of technology roadmap that a company uses to create and share a detailed-level plan for IT initiatives, such as migrating the company's data to a new cloud system or upgrading the company to a new enterprise software platform. IT roadmaps can differ from product roadmaps in one important way: A product roadmap shows strategic plans that will impact how the company interacts with its customers and the market in general (via new product releases, feature updates, and so on), whereas an IT roadmap communicates plans that will only affect the company's internal systems and processes.
