A Pull System is a technique for controlling the flow of resources in a system. The goal of such a system is only to replace what has been consumed at the most optimal time. It is known as a Pull System because resources are only pulled into the pipeline when required or requested. This contrasts with a Push System, which attempts to drive production flow using forecasts and schedules.
