Its success allowed it to expand and transform into the “everything store” in its literal sense. Since 2015, Amazons online store has been widely regarded as the best option available, and even Amazons biggest competitors, like Walmart, have not been able to catch up. Amazon has successfully surpassed Walmart in market capitalization, making it the most valuable retailer in the United States. As measured by revenue, it surpassed all other Internet companies to become the eighth largest employer in the United States.
