Perhaps you organize events for your boss or supervisor. Perhaps you organized an event that you are no longer able to attend. You can give another person ownership of a Google Calendar event and make them the organizer. Go to Google Calendar on the web and choose the event you want to change. Changes can be made in the events popup window or detail page. Having the ability to change the organizer for a Google Calendar event is a convenient feature.
