A Test Plan is a comprehensive document that details every aspect of the testing process, from the rationale behind the test to the resources and timetable needed to complete the test and the expected outcomes. It helps us manage the time spent making sure the application under test is up to par. The Test Plan serves as a blueprint for carrying out Software Testing in the form of a welldefined process under the watchful eye of a Test Manager. The test deliverables include the test plan. The document outlining the test strategy is distributed to the same audiences as the rest of the test outputs. The stakeholders are informed of the planned software testings goals, objectives, and timeline.
