A decision chart, also known as a decision tree, is used to make decisions in a structured way. It consists of nodes that are connected by branches and have a root node at the top, which branches down into further levels. Each of the nodes represents either a decision to be made or an outcome resulting from the decisions taken. For example, in deciding whether to go for a walk or spend time alone, the root node may have two branches leading towards decision nodes asking, “Which activity do you prefer?” from there, each branch may lead towards different leaf nodes - “Walk” and “Spend Time Alone” - which would represent outcomes.
