A double bubble map is a thinking skill that helps students compare two items. Using this tool, one can easily compare and contrast the weather conditions between different seasons of the year. This could be done by drawing two circles or 'bubbles' side-by-side, with each circle representing a season (i.e., summer and winter) and subcategories to explain the differences in the weather for each season (temperature, precipitation, daylight hours, etc.). By completing this exercise, each student can easily explain the seasonal differences in weather conditions. Similar design templates are readily available at EdrawMax.
