A process flow diagram (PFD) is a diagram commonly used in chemical and process engineering to indicate the general flow of plant processes and equipment. Here is a PFD sample of hydrogenation of C4 fraction. A C4 full hydrogenation unit is used to improve the ethylene yield. It converts all unsaturated C4 hydrocarbons and saturated C4 streams, and recycles these back to the cracking furnace.
