Halloween
A greeting card related to Halloween is a "Halloween card." The idea began in the United States in the 1890s and reached a height of popularity there in the early 1900s. Like Christmas and birthday cards, Halloween cards played a similar role before the arrival of the standard home telephone.
Halloween cards can be an illustrated message that communicates affection, goodwill, appreciation, compassion, or other feelings seriously or hilariously. Greeting cards are typically sent by mail to commemorate a particular day or occasion and are classified into two broad categories: seasonal and daily.
